Summer break

Just to warn listeners that my annual summer break will be coming up. This year I will actually go into August a bit, to keep together the episodes on Avicenna's metaphysics and his discussion of God since these are closely related. So the episode on his proof of God's existence will be on August 4, with about a month break thereafter. I will resume maybe the 2nd Sunday of September depending on family vacation plans, and there will remain two more episodes on Avicenna: his views on the soul, and an interview with Dimitri Gutas. Then 3 episodes on al-Ghazali followed by the next big mini-series for philosophy in the Islamic world: Andalusia! Which will feature topics like Ibn Gabirol, Ibn Tufayl, Averroes, Maimonides, Ibn 'Arabi and the Kabbalah.
