Interview extravaganza
Posted by Peter Adamson on 27 June 2012Today I not only interviewed Richard Sorabji for a future episode on the commentators (number 99), but also was interviewed by Philosophy Bites host Nigel Warburton. (His fellow host Dave Edmonds couldn't make it.) The topic was Avicenna's "Flying Man" argument. Afterwards we recorded a conversation about philosophy podcasting, which we may put online here or elsewhere at some point, albeit that it is somewhat "meta". Would people be interested in hearing this?

LMU officially really really excellent
Posted by Peter Adamson on 17 June 2012My new institution, the LMU in Munich (I'm moving there this summer) just succeeded in a bid to get a large infusion of support from the German government. (Note that the German government is investing heavily in higher education.) Incidentally I hope to blog more in the next few months about my move to Germany and relative impressions of the UK and German academic scene. For this story and links on it see:
