Summer break 2014

Posted on ..

Just to note that, as mentioned at the end of episode 190, it will be followed by my annual summer break. I plan to resume service on Sept 28. There will be about 5 more episodes to go on philosophy in the recent Islamic world, and then we return to the distant past, picking up the story of early medieval philosophy in Latin Christendom. I'll be posting a tentative list of episodes on that here soon so you know what to look forward to.

I recognize that Islamic philosophy is your area of research, but I'm quite excited to reach Latin philosophy! I've been brushing up on my St. Tommy in anticipation. Of course, I'm sure it will be awhile before we get there :)

Me too actually! I've just been writing the introductory episode on medieval philosophy this morning, and it is fun to have so much great material to look forward to.

That's the plan! But it will take me quite a while to get there. I am by the way also involved in the History Podcasters collage project and have contributed clips on later thinkers to that, so far Machiavelli, Wollstonecraft and Wittgenstein.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Thanks for all the hard work. I have used your podcast to get me through a boring job. Now I love listening to it during my long distance runs. You're in part responsible for my decent stamina.

Thank you!
